Fr. Todd's Welcome

Welcome from Our Pastor, Fr. Todd Lloyd & Mission Statement

Welcome to Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Parish! We are a vibrant parish family working together to be disciples of Jesus Christ. Though diverse in age and background, we long to be of “one heart and mind” (Acts 4:32) for the Lord. Our ministries reflect our desire to foster a community that does not allow any member to go unserved.

Our most important work as a Catholic church is to be a community of prayer and worship. In the year 2000, Pope St. John Paul II wrote “Our Christian communities must become genuine ‘schools’ of prayer, where the meeting with Christ is expressed not just in imploring help but also in thanksgiving, praise, adoration, contemplation, listening, and ardent devotion until the heart truly ‘falls in love.’” This is our mutual work together at Most Blessed Sacrament: to profoundly fall in love with Jesus Christ through a life of prayer and devotion. Then, motivated by that love for Him, to love one another.

Our parish, Most Blessed Sacrament, is privileged to be named for the Eucharist, which the Second Vatican Council refers to as the source and summit of the Christian life because it is Jesus Christ Himself. We try to form our parish life around our Eucharistic Lord through reverent offerings of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass every single day and through adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament in our adoration chapel. Everyone is invited and encouraged to take advantage of this invaluable gift as often as possible. According to Pope St. John Paul II, “Eucharistic worship constitutes the soul of all Christian life.”

Hopefully, all who come to this parish find a community committed to one another through our mutual commitment to Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament. In this way, we strive to be obedient to the Lord’s great commandments. As Pope St. John Paul II put it, the “Christian life is expressed in the fulfilling of the greatest commandment, that is to say, in the love of God and neighbor, and this love finds its source in the blessed Sacrament, which is commonly called the sacrament of love.”

The mission of Most Blessed Sacrament Church is for members to witness the real presence of the Lord in word and sacrament, and that they may live out the message from the gospel and serve one another as followers of Jesus Christ.
